Haqiqatan is a monotheistic religion originating from the island of Qataba centered on the Rabt and its prophets.

The religion expresses belief in the revelations of doctrine through infallible prophets, called Maerifa (lit. "knowledge) who deliver the specificities of social life, moral behavior and interaction with the world in general. Its followers, called Qara'aha (lit. "the ones who have read") mostly organize themselves around fellow learned believers and profess that the Rabt, the collection of texts compiled by believers, is gradually divinely revealed to the Maerifas, who add it by progressive revelation. Maerifa recognition is normally not universal and comes with sectarian disputes. The first three Maerifas however are almost universally recognized by all Qara'ahas in the present day.

Articles of faith[edit | edit source]

Maerifas[edit | edit source]

Maerifas are the most important concept in Haqitan. As per the Haqiqatan faith, they are the ones who bring knowledge of greatness to the world. According to tradition, Maerifas are infalible and revealed by God. The decisions made be one are not decisions. They are pre-determined inevitabilities and the functioning of the Mearifa is bringing about the next part of rightful social life.

First Maerifa[edit | edit source]

Abn/Abnat Lirajul was the first Maerifa of Haqiqatan. They lived in a time of war and strife across Qurac in the late 130s. It was pagan in a similar manner to Irzan polytheism. A. Lirajul didn't really seek to found a religion, but while they were lost in a desert fleeing a warlord, Greatness gave them a vision: They saw the next 3000 years of history and saw every war, every death, every murder and was in the skin of every man ever killed. For the remainder of their life they would continuously cry blood at the atrocity of humanity.

Greatness, however, gave them the truth of the world, that humanities mission was to be respectful and dutiful to what they would teach and behave like so, and that there would be more like them. Greatness also said that in life Lirajul would not be heard by many, only by the most devout; and in fear of death A. Lirajul fleed to the mountains. Tales of a rightful man who cried blood and told of a single god made it happen. Lirajul fleed from humanity in fear, retired from the world to meditate and escape its temptations, and sought no followers. They attracted them anyway, and some of these became their successors. However, as Greatness said tragedy would come, and in his years 40 a man who remains in history simply by the fact he killed his own sibling would grow jealous of the fact he was not the one choosen, and he murdered the first Maerifa.

Second Maerifa[edit | edit source]

Ghasin bint lan'aqul was the second Maerifa, and the first one that we have absolute knowledge was a woman. She was born 45 years after the death of Lirajul, and her father and mother abandoned her to take practice in mysticism, trying to untie themselves from the material world. When she was barely 16 she received the first speech from God. He told her about the ways people were now open to the message and her goal was to build to them a functional society that was clean and rightful, and everyone knew of their duty to family and to community. For the rest of her life her eyes would glow like the sun and she would foam molten gold at her mouth.

Her message quickly spread and the new society built on the true revelations of cleanliness and separation of the 3 spheres ( the eternal, the social and the familial ) would make for the basis of almost all of Haqiqatan concepts of rightful governance afterwards. She would come to die at age 33 in the highlands, as not to bother anyone. The phrase "When your Father speaks don't you listen and obey? When your Commander speaks is it not doubly so? how much more if god speaks? Hear and obey" is written to be the first things God said to Her.

Third Maerifa[edit | edit source]

Hazin jundi Alsalam is the third and probably most important of the Maerifas of Haqiqatan, He is the one who brought about the fundamental message of the faith and spread it beyond Qurat and minor Qurat inhabited places. Born in the year 350 in Qurac, his father would die of disease before he was born and his mother in childbirth. He would be raised by his grandfather, a merchant who took him to trips across the Eurybian. while in Qurat Hazin would meditate amongst the mountains, when he was 33 he would receive his first message from God; That message was simple, the lands of Qurac were ready and he was to bring about peace and conscience for the world. He would bring about knowledge of Humanism. Due to this and unlike all other Maerifas before Him and similar to all mainline ones after, there is no unique bodily miracle to Hazin, as he is human like us.

His book is generally considered even by non-believers to be an enthralling read, as Hazin and those who follow him embark on generally interesting conversations and interactions with peoples all over the Eurybian, Hazin is also very keen on detailing and talking about the people he meets as people, he eventually amassed a great deal of followers and convinced many man through help and the creation of networks of the truth of his message. Hazin died in peace at age 53 leaving only one daughter of age 17 called Sāra. his death inaugurates what is commonly called as the Maerific Century, the 150 years of peace made possible by the 3 Maerifas following him.

Fourth Maerifa[edit | edit source]

Ubadah Saqifah is the fourth of the Maerifas, being declared and exalted a year after the death of Hazin, He had been a close companion of Hazin and is thought to have been either the first or second person to have seen him as Maerifa. His charisma, funding and general attitude were crucial for the spread of Haqiqatan, bringing most of the early non Qurac adopters. God spoke to him after the death of his friend that it was now time for the legacy of his companion to be compiled and upheld, Ubadah would spend the remainder of his life trying to do so. He is normally known as the Maerifa of True Friendship and Justice. He codified the central idea of governance around Rational Heredity of Power, Rightfulness of Hereditors and the idea of the Commensality. These associations of government would lead to the Rasic Governance and Nakulmaean.

He died at age 58, only 3 years after the death of Hazin.

Fifth Maerifa[edit | edit source]

Albari' ibn Muratab is the fifth of the Maerifas, being declared in the same year after the death of Ubadah, having only spoken to God once in his entire book, in a passage widely known for the brevity of the command, most of it is dedicated to his achievements for codifying the idea of Military Obligence, the necessity of Nizae for the maintenance of secure social life, the fact of ascension in life through service and dedication, the idea of Yamur and the division of the world between Ard' al-Nizae (The land of conflict) and Ard' al-Hasan (The land of peace). Its thought he also introduced the Haqiqatan love for cats. His rule lasted 11 years and is considered a period of military expansion and consolidation of rule and social life amongst most Qara'aha.

Sixth Maerifa[edit | edit source]

Samia ibn Ubadah is the sixth of the Maerifas, being declared the moment after the death of Albari', his actual first time speaking with God was when he was in his 19 years of age, and there is great controversy in Haqiqatan over the validity of the previous Maerifas in chronology, if they usurped Samia out of fear, most Qara'aha, called by their philosophy of Waqt jayid and simplified to Waqja', believe that God choose the Maerifas in the correct order and their changes brought had a purpose of preparing Samia for rulership and society for peace. The other major faction in Haqiqatan, Ittbae' Samia, most often reffered to as Ittbs, believe that out of fear of Samia being unready and political desire, the 4th and 5th Maerifas are false Maerifas, as their social changes were not exactly radical transformations of social life and would later be reinforced or discarded and changed under specific intepretations of the speeches to Samia, and so their roles need to be corrected by disconsidering their teachings and being more attentive to the meaning of Samias revelations alone.

He married Sāra at the age 19 when she was 16, and he came to the position of Maerifa at the age of 33, his revelations were continous and his governance lasted until he was 65, when he died along his wife in a trip between Qurac and Albel. He introduced a diversity of political and social reforms that start what is commonly referred to as the Maerific Century, the entire Haqiqatan world was bound by a reserve currency, created a decentralised system of equality between local powers and the idea of the Samianic Accord in order to keep every single one of the Haqiqatan realms and societies bound by ties of loyalty and friendship. Reinforced humanist ideals and created the concept of Ard' al-Aintizar (The land of waiting), for treaties and fairness with people who were friendly with the Rightful and to facilitate trade. After his death and for 150 years, the alliances and binds created would bring peace and prosperity for the Eurybian Sea. Austrasian historians would write that: "In the lands of the Hazinians there is not a single man who is in hunger, and not a single house that does not smell of apricots".

Observance[edit | edit source]

In Haqiqatan the concept of observance of faith is crucial. It has ritual observance around family life, social life and cleanliness. Cleanliness is understood not only as body cleanliness but also social and familial cleanliness.

Observance is also found in temperance. Qara'ahas avoid wearing gold and precious objects, as this is explicitly forbidden as causing "dirtiness in the spirit."

The third aspect of observance is scholarly knowledge and curiosity. Inquiry and questioning is actively encouraged and sought after. Well read scholars of the Rabt are well regarded by most, even those of competing sects.

The fourth and final aspect is Ziyarah, the belief on undertaking pilgrimmages to important holy sites related to the Maerifas in life.

History[edit | edit source]

Expansion[edit | edit source]

The early expansion of Haqiqatan.
The spread of Haqiqatan occurred through many forms, but primarily across the Eurybian via maritime commerce. War was historically undertook in some periods. The Haqiqatan view of the world during the time of the fifth Maerifa was a split between 'Ard al-Nizae and 'Ard al-Hasan.
